The tire technology developed itself further in the last decades rapidly. This was also necessary, because in the measure, how the vehicles were equipped with ever stronger engines and by it according to higher speeds drive could, also the requirements rose to the tires. A positive effect, that from the improved tire technology to derive leaves itself concerns the circumstance that it comes despite stronger loads to less speed-caused tire damages. Thus geplatzte tires arise in the meantime only very rarely and if, then is usually hidden, internal damage for it responsible.

But the fact that modern tires it may not to become ever more robust about the fact mislead that it can come still by inappropriate handling to tire damages. The most frequent cause for damages at tires are the too fast and/or wrong over driving of obstacles, in particular of pavements. A further source of damage is driving also to small tire pressure. Thus it comes to so-called milling of the tire. Among them one understands together a rubbing of the different tire components in the underbody. This leads to a heating, which can lead in its consequence to a damage. Regular control of the tire pressure is therefore particularly important. This is valid above all, if will more strongly load the vehicle is, for example during the trip into the vacation.
